Baby Easter Basket Set All Finished

The baby booties...

The baby bonnet with pretty lilac ribbon tie...

The baby dress back with two pearl buttons...

The baby dress front with a pretty flower and pearl button....

The Easter Basket set...baby blanket, booties, bonnet and dress!

I'm so glad it's all finished.  I had fun making it but I must admit the booties were a challenge.  It took three tries before I finally got it...(duh) you do have to count the stitches to get it right.

The Baby Dress is by Beverly Button and can be found on Ravelry (here).   I really liked this pattern and it was easy to crochet too.  I modified it slightly by adding an extra round of shells on the bottom of the dress in purple rather than adding the picot edging.  I also didn't decrease the neckline either when I added the edging in purple - and I deleted the neck front ruffle.  I backed the flower with felt and sewed it on the dress with another small piece of felt placed behind the dress.   The size is newborn to three months.

I better get this off in the mail soon as my niece is being induced on May 16th!

  1. I followed all of your links but didn't see the little bonnet pattern anywhere. I HAVE to have it! Can you point me towards it?

You did such a great job on these. What a nice gift! I love the yellow and purple together.

  3. Pammy Sue,
The Ravelry link should take you to Ravelry's sign in page, after you sign in it should take you directly to the page where you can download the free pattern. If that doesn't work for you email me your email address and I will email back the pdf file to you. Glad you like the dress!

  5. I found the dress pattern. I'm asking about the bonnet pattern. ;) Sorry to be a pain. I did see several bonnet patterns on Ravelry that would work. Maybe it's one of them you used.

  6. Pammy Sue,
Oops, sorry I guess I had dress pattern on the brain. The free scalloped bonnet pattern was from Ravelry too. It's by designer Abigail Goss of Crotiques. The link is:

    and

The baby bootie pattern is from Annie's Attic "Precious Baby Booties" publication (#87050) and is called "Lace Booties".

    Hope this information helps you!

  7. Forgot to mention I also added an extra crochet row of shells in purple (not on the pattern) on the baby bonnet.

  8. I've made the dress already! It turned out so cute. Thanks for sharing all of this info with me. I'm going to make the little bonnet now. I hope you don't mind me copying you. I hear it's the sincerest form of flattery! ;)

  9. Pammy Sue - That's great! I'm looking forward to seeing your dress. The dress is quick to crochet isn't it? There are quite a few versions of the dress posted on Ravelry too. It's interesting to look at how different each looks just with modifications of the pattern and using different colors etc.
