The Last Round...Up

Fruit Punch Tote

We all dread sewing the ends in...but I knew I would feel better once that was done.

I sat last night watching TV for several HOURS and finally finished that task.

It's the price I pay to have lots of color.

Doesn't my ripple throw,"Spring Time," look delicious as a background for the squares?

The ripple throw has many of the same yarn colors in it.

Today I'm going to look through my fabric stash to see if I have any fabric that would make a nice lining for the tote.

If not, I'll have to make a trip to Joann's Fabrics.

 What a sacrifice !

Wish there was something I could do with all these ends of yarn.

I put some out for the birds this past spring but I don't think they found it.

With all this heat we've been spending our time indoors working on projects.  I've had to rest more to treat my bursitis in my right hip with ice packs which means I haven't been able to keep up with weeding in our front landscaped area.  Hubby just knocked on the french doors to show me a 3 foot weed he cut down in the front.  Unfortunately it's just one of many.  It seems we can't stop those darn weeds from taking over.  It's so frustrating.

Enough of that weed crap...I'm actually feeling a tad better.  I even had moments over the weekend I didn't even think about my hip (bursitis).  I guess the physical therapy is working.  I've scheduled three PT treatments this week and next.  We were planning to take an RV van trip out to Colorado towards the end of August so I'm hoping I can be well by then and out of discomfort and pain.   I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

Have a lovely day and thanks for stopping by!

More Explore and Baby Things!

Another surprise this morning.

Another Flickr photo of mine made Explore!

Spring Time Throw - All Laid Out

That's two of my crocheted throws now that have been picked!

I first posted (here) where I tell a little about Explore.

I'm shocked!

And I can't wait to show you the next project I'm working on.

Here's a sneak peek!

Lemon body and Lilac shell trim!

My first baby dress!

I modified the pattern a little bit.

My first crocheted newborn baby dress!
It's soooo tiny and soooo cute!

This is sized for a newborn to 3 months (...I hope!)

It was easy to make...crocheted all in one piece except the trim.

All I have to do is sew the buttons on the back and add a cute crocheted flower.

As you can see the dress matches my Easter Basket throw.

Next I have to find a cute bonnet and booties pattern to go with the dress.

I hope you have a most wonderful day and I sure appreciate your company!

Spring Time WIP

I gave my first ripple crocheted throw, Cotton Candy, to my niece for her birthday this month.  I liked it so much that I decided to make another one for myself using the colors I had on hand in a different order.

I'm naming this one ~ Spring Time ~ because it makes me think of blooming flowers in all colors of the rainbow.

Spring Time Throw

Gee, what type of border/edging should I add?

Now I have to sew the ends in and crochet a nice border/edging.  At least there aren't as many ends as a granny square throw...LOL!

It rained all day here today.  Dark & dreary out.

But Spring Time brings sunshine and happiness into my world!
