I ❤️ Coffee !

Brenda over at a "Cosy Little House" is a fellow coffee lover.

She's showing us her coffee stations today and telling us about her coffee habits.

Yes, that is not one.. but two coffee stations.

My Tinkerbell Coffee Mug!

I haven't posted for awhile.

With my sewing machine in for a check up and not much going on with my crocheting there's not much to share here.

But then I saw Brenda's coffee posting and thought it would be fun to join in.

My name is Sandy.

And I am a coffee addict.

I must have my coffee.

It started when I graduated from high school and began my working career.

For years I used to microwave my water and use instant coffee.

{I'm the only coffee drinker here so more than one cup goes to waste.}

Several years I bought a ten-cup Cusinart coffee maker to use for BUNCO when hosting.

I used it a few times for my BUNCO gals but the rest of the year it sat in my cupboard.

I could make four cups with it but after sitting out the coffee was cold.

Then two Christmases ago "Santa" bought me a Keurig Single Server coffee maker and life hasn't been the same here since.

I love my Keurig!

Now my coffee automatically comes out the right temperature to drink and I can have a fresh cup anytime I want...quickly and in just about any flavor too.

I love the hot teas too.

And the hot chocolate and hot apple cider.

Yummy!

I stock up on the flavors I like in K-cups.

I  favor light roasted coffee...like these.

I gave up sugar in my coffee in my twenties…too sweet for me.

Just milk or creamer for me.

I can't stand it black.

Cute Mickey Mug…wish it was mine.

I don't just drink it in the morning though.

I like a cuppa... ALL.DAY.LONG.

When I worked in an office and needed that afternoon pick me up there was never any coffee made.

It used to drive me crazy!

The only negative is that it goes right through me.

I think you know what I mean.

Oh, and my Cusinart Ten Cup coffee maker…

I gave it to my brother's family.

They are all coffee drinkers.

I think I NEED another cup…right now!

Want to join me?

Busy Here Doing This & That

I've had my single beverage server since Christmas and found a neat tutorial on how to clean it on Pinterest and YouTube.

So I took mine apart and put the K-Cup holder plus drip tray and drip tray plate in the dishwasher.
I didn't put the water reservoir tank in the dishwasher because my Keurig instructions states NOT to put the water reservoir lid or water reservoir tank in the dishwasher.

I used a toothbrush and microfiber cloth to clean the coffee grinds out of the K-Cup portion pack housing.

My Hubby was the smart one who thought to always fill my Keurig with the distilled water from our refrigerator. I will still de-scale it but there aren't any tell tale calcium deposits under the water tank so using distilled water really helps. Also whenever we make hot chocolate we run a cup of clear water through the cycle afterwards.

I love this beverage maker so I want it to last.

One side of green flower border is done on my Rose Garden Granny Rose throw.

I may go back when finished with the green flower border and tack down the flowers so they don't curl up.

A lot of work goes into making a throw and not everyone will appreciate the time and effort a crocheter puts into their piece...I've seen many beautiful vintage works that go for a few dollars. I guess that's life - art forms come and go in popularity.

I'm glad that crocheting seems to be "in" again!

Amen!

Crochet & Coffee

Crochet and Coffee!

I'm having a very relaxing Sunday morning doing a little crocheting on my Christmas Round Ripple, playing with my new iPhone and drinking some delicious coffee made with my new Keurig single coffee maker.

How do you like my red iPhone cover?

That's Jessie from "Toy Story" as my background screen.

After posting this I'm off to our finished basement to finish putting all the Christmas boxes away in their storage area.

How about some more of my crocheted reds to look at.

I love color...lots of it!

My crocheted throws...

Let's add their names shall we....

I can't pick a favorite.

Can you?
