My new Swiffer Duster Cover! |
Simple, cheap and quick...you got to love this neat crocheted Swiffer Duster Cover!
I found this project on another blogger's blog but I can't remember who so I'm sorry I can't give creative credit but it's such a great idea I had to try it.
Sugar n' Cream Cotton Yarn |
I used left over cotton yarn I had on hand. I crocheted a rectangle (just start a chain as long as your swiffer plus an amount to go over the sides to secure it).
It's a row of Double Crochet (US) then a row of Front Post Double crochet alternated to the end.
I wasn't even that concerned about even ends.
Make it long enough to go over the sides and hook in place |
Quick and easy to crochet up and I used it immediately on our kitchen's laminate flooring. It worked beautifully. I'll just soak it in Oxiclean and throw it in the washer.
I plan on making several more of these to have on hand.
Wouldn't they be cute made up in holiday colors?
One for Easter, Memorial & 4th of July, Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas???

This is such a brilliant idea!
ReplyDeleteGreat idea! What a cool way to use up leftover yarn, or to learn a new stitch. xo,
ReplyDeleteWhat a great idea, wish I knew how to crochet, if so I'd make one. I refuse to buy any more of those covers in the box - too pricey! Thanks for sharing at The Shabby Nest!
ReplyDeleteOh wow! I love it. Think of all the money you'll be saving too.
ReplyDeleteI have to say--I had a square block leftover from piece blanket... and I've been using it to dust furniture with. NEVER EVER occurred to me to use it with the swiffer! Great idea, glad you showed it.
Come on over to my blog as I am having a Southern Belle Giveaway!!
