Teacup Lane's Fireplace Mantel

Vintage red velvet deer!

It came with the glitter ears and tail.

Fresh white pine branches and holly branches added from our yard!
The framed Christmas forest view... lightly stuffed with batting, quilted, painted and beaded by moi (1991)!
I made the Greeting yarn rug years ago.

The basket I bought one Christmas for my MIL and filled it with Beanie Babies.

The Christmas Candle holder and vintage deer were passed down from my parents.

Forgot to mention the little wooden Bambi Deer (lower right) was cut out by my FIL and I painted it.

I hope you enjoyed taking a look at our Christmas Fireplace Mantel for 2010.

The only thing I purchased for this mantel was the fake red berry garland.  Everything else I made or was passed down from our parents or given to us as gifts.

This is the first time I have used fresh branches from our yard...I think it is beautiful...so this won't be the last time.

You can tell I'm a RED and GREEN Christmas Gal!

Almost everything I have is in those colors!

  1. Too cute... Getting a little frustrated that the KABOSH was put to my dragging all out this winter. But, the sun will feel good. Big storms to dump here this weekend. So lots of hooking time a foot.

    Have a relaxing one,
    Kate

  6. Beautiful!! the red deer immediately reminded me of my grandma! she has some really cool vintage Christmas decorations. I wonder if she would be willing to pass on some to me :o) I should ask!
How lucky to have "Christmas" greens in your yard! There's none of those around here, so I have to resort to the fake ones. They look pretty, but it would be much better to have the "real deal".
Lovely mantel Sandy. Very festive and very red and green!
    have a lovely weekend ahead!
