Christmas Teddy

Hubby and I were so glad to be home and sleep in our own bed again.  Not that the bed at the hotel was uncomfortable but it's just good to be home.   The sun is shining today and it's 33 degrees F. out.  The weather channel is forecasting snow/rain mix towards the end of the week.  Our Christmas with family was so lovely and we had such a great time.  I wish we all could live closer together.

Now I have to plan our meals for New Year's Eve and Day.  I usually decorate our kitchen island and put out the food while we watch new DVDs as we wait for the New Year.  We got a Blu-Ray DVD player this year so we got a few new Blu-Ray DVDs to watch - Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, Night at the Museum - Battle of the Smithsonian, Star Trek - Season One, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs and the two Transformers movies.   Now to choose which ones to watch New Year's Eve.

By the way,  I decided to drop the "Two Thousand  ten" year designation and start saying "Twenty ten"  going forward for next year.  What about you?   Do you have a preference?

  2. I like 20 ten too and it seems the one most used over here.
We got a Blue ray DVD player in the Boxing Day sales so we are all set up for viewing too.
the weather here is still rainy - soooo unusual for us these days but with the rain comes HUMIDITY - you can't breathe without perspiration dripping off you and the temp is around 29 - 30 from very early morning.
BUT at least everything is green, a very nice change from the brown that was pre Christmas!

You will love Alaska. We did the cruise in 2007 in September right at the end of the season. It was just as you would expect- a bit like the wild west frontier! Glacier Bay was misty, cold and magic and the glaciers were fantastic. After our cruise we hired a car and drove around through the Rockies for 5 weeks ending up in Calgary. We were in Lake Louise for the first snow of Winter - absolutely delightful memories that we will always treasure.
We're off to the beach today
    Cheers

I think twenty-ten rolls off the tongue easier the two thousand and ten don't you?

  7. Hi Sandy :)

I always love coming home to my own bed! There's just NOTHING like it :)

It sounds like you have a nice New Years planned. I would chose Night at the museum. It was pretty good.
