Linvilla Orchards - Pumpkinland |
PUMPKINLAND
Sunday was bright, sunny, warm and just perfect to visit a local orchard, Linvilla, with friends. Even though we have lived here for almost eleven years it was our first visit to this very popular fall attraction.
Linvilla Orchards is one of the last working farms in the Delaware Valley, encompassing more than 300 arces of land devoted to farming, entertainment, education and recreation. This sprawling family farm includes apple orchards, Pumpkinland, a farm market, animals to visit with and a playground.
The animal area is complete with white-tailed deer, emus, peacocks, goats, sheep and chickens - lots of chickens! There are hayrides through the orchards, train rides and pony rides to enjoy. Kids of all ages love the face painting. There are even straw bales and cornfield mazes to walk through. It was fun watching the small kids shooting apples at scarecrows in the field with giant slingshots.

We topped the fun day off with dinner at the Olive Garden.
Thanks for visiting Pumpkinland with me!
Pumpkinland looks fun! I love the truck display and the larger than life figures.

What fun! Pumpkins and orange ... a sure way to bring a smile!
ReplyDeleteWhat an interesting place to visit.
ReplyDeleteHolloween is gaining in popularity in Brisbane but it still not observed by many people. It was unheard of when I was a child - or for my kids as a matter of fact and these days ,if kids come knocking at the door . their costumes are very sketchy or non existant and they are only after lollies ( sweets /candy) without the effort on their part .
Cheers
Helen
