It is a very special day at Walt Disney World - The Magic Kingdom today. In honor of Leap Year day the park is open from 6 AM to the following 6 AM - 24 hours of magic!
Even though I had another sleepless night and felt miserable when I got up at 10 AM, I decided if I felt better after a shower and lunch we would go over to the Magic Kingdom for the afternoon. Hubby made early supper reservations at the Liberty Tavern in Frontierland for us. It's the first time we ate there - the food was delicious - the only negative is - it could had been warmer.
It was a beautiful sunny day reaching 88 degrees but luckily with just a tad humidity. We took these photos with our iPhone.
We're in paradise!
I'm crossing my fingers I can get some sleep tonight.

It's a beautiful sunny day at Ft. Wilderness (Walt Disney World, Florida)!
Hubby put the awning and chairs out. I thought maybe the warm sun would help fight my head cold. Yes, that nasty thing is still here. After a good morning yesterday when I finally started to feel better ...the rain came and my sinuses went mad again...followed by another horrible sleepless night with non stop coughing. I'm starting to feel sorry for myself...whining to all of you. I can't help it. Why is it that a simple common cold can make me so miserable? Part of the reason is colds usually turn into sinus infections for me. And I'm praying this one doesn't.
Here's a Mickey Mouse made out of pine cones...of which there is an endless supply of both here!
I added a cute simple edging of 3 chains, single crochet repeated around on the potholder. I crocheted the other side in the same colors in the round.
I feel a little better today but not 100 percent yet. Hubby helped me do four loads of laundry today. Glad to have that done. We took a nap this afternoon and I woke up feeling a tad worst.
This is why - rain was coming! My sinuses were not happy campers. We drove over to the store after supper and when we came out it was pouring!
Thanks for visiting. I'm keeping my posts short and sweet while here at WDW...BlogPress on our iPhone's 3G Internet can't handle more than two photos per blog post.
I'm still sick with my head cold. I had my worst night last night. Coughed all night long. This isn't how Hubby and I planned to spend our time here at Ft. Wilderness Walt Disney World. It's a bummer!
Particularly since I've been sick we have been eating more meals in our little travel van. Here's a meal I fixed before I got sick. We have a cute little round table that's easy to setup and takedown. It's also easy to get around it too.
The good news - my head cold is a little better this morning. I slept through the night until about 6 AM then I had a two-hour coughing attack - that wasn't very much fun. Poor Hubby i hope it didn't keep him awake.
Of course just as I'm starting to feel a little bit better with my head cold I had a muscle spasm in my side and if you've ever had one you know that they become more sore and painful as time goes by. Thank goodness we travel with a heating pad!
I have to show you our cute, little, teeny, tiny bathroom in our travel van. It functions very well and even has a shower. It's called a "wet bath" because the whole little room becomes the shower. And, yes, we have used it!
However, if the campground has decent showers, we will use those and Ft. Wilderness has great bathhouses.
It's a cooler day here at Walt Disney World. I think I need to get out - so Hubby and I are leaving to take a ride around the campground in our rented golf cart.
Well I ended up frogging my spiral and starting over.
The second time my stitch count was correct.
One of my readers asked what could I do with these spirals? This particular pattern makes a pot holder. But think of the possibilities you could make small spirals and crochet them together to make a small throw - I think that would be very pretty. I also have a pattern for a dishcloth.
I spent today resting again. My head cold hasn't gone away yet so we haven't been over to the parks yet.
I sure will be glad when this cold is gone and I'm feeling better.
Today was our first full day at Ft. Wilderness at Walt Disney World in Orlando Florida. We took a day of rest and just went out for breakfast at Perkins restaurant and then went and got groceries to put in our little refrigerator.
This was an relaxing day - we even drove around in our rented golf cart.
This is my first try at doing a post on my iPhone using BlogPress I hope that it's going to work so let's give it a try.
We found out that Walt Disney World has upgraded its Wi-Fi effective today it' free. They're doing it in stages so right now Wi-Fi at the campground is now free but it's still only available at their hotspots. We were told that by the end of the year it should be available at the campsites too. I'm sending this via our iPhone's 3G network. Wish me luck!
My Hubby does all of the driving and he likes to snack occasionally (...OK...I do too!) - mostly to break the monopoly of staring at the road while driving hundreds of miles a day. (How does he do that anyway - driving makes me so sleepy???)
Hey.. just because we're counting calories doesn't mean we deprived ourselves of our chocolate and other goodies. Although I may experience some serious caffeine withdraw with leaving my Keurig at home.
This is our lounge area during the day and our bed at night.
Yeah...we like lots of pillows.
The red and blue bags contained our bathroom stuff - everything in them has already been put away in our small bathroom cabinets.
Shoes are in the plastic bags on the right and they are stored underneath the cushion.
I bring lots of shoes...it's sort of my thing. Hubby has accepted it graciously.
All of our furniture in the van is covered with a fake type of leather fabric.
It's wonderfully butterly soft but it's slippery as heck.
The couch/bed is covered with many soft layers already - mattress pad, foam, fitted bottom sheet and blanket - so there's no sliding around on it.
But the two cushions on each side of the van in front of the couch weren't covered. So I decided to sew up some covers with some left-over muslin fabric I had on hand.
Just a simple draw-string cover.
Hopefully we won't slide off these cushions now.
It's amazing how much these little cabinets hold.
We have to be careful and not bring too much weight with us - there's not much payload capacity to the van.
Everything is packed now except for our computers.
It seems weird to be done packing this early in the evening.
I guess I'll get a cup of coffee and take a break to watch some TV.
I want to let you know that my blogging and posting may not be as frequent while we are traveling as we are so depended on the internet services offered by the various campgrounds and hotels.
Believe it or not Walt Disney World's campground is one of the worst for blogging with pretty lousy internet service. And Ft. Wilderness is rated 10/10/10 which is the best rating a campground can receive. We tried their current internet service last year and it was so bad I asked for our money back and got refunded without any questions.
Tomorrow morning we will head south on another fun filled adventure to Florida and Walt Disney World.
Remember Disney's Lady and The Tramp? It's one of my favorite childhood movies.
I'm not sure if we will celebrate Valentine's Day at home or go out for supper.
We are leaving for our Florida RV trip to Walt Disney World soon and we'll be eating out quite frequently during the next month. Home cooked meals for the next few days may be nice and appreciated by my Sweetheart.
So...I'm leaning towards home cooked.
Two hearts...one love!
We'll be stopping in Atlanta on our way to Florida to attend a wedding.
This is the first time we've had to pack fancy clothes for one of our RV trips.
We downloaded some fun Disney apps on our iPhones to play with while at WDW.
Our travel van is sitting in our driveway so we can finish packing it.
We had another snow storm come through last night!
We woke up to Winter Wonderland!
I love it when the snow is light and fluffy and coats everything white!
It's time to get lunch for us...and a warm cup of coffee for me!
Have a wonderful weekend!
