Mt. Rushmore National Memorial

We are at Mt. Rushmore today (monument is located near Rapid City, South Dakota).  Let's take a look up close and personal of two of our former US Presidents - George Washington and Thomas Jefferson.

Two more...Teddy Roosevelt and Abe Lincoln.

Entrance from parking lots.   It didn't look like this 30 plus years ago when we last visited.

The grand avenue up to the monument....a nice man took our photo for us.  It's a beautiful day today - high 80s and sunny.

It's impressive...isn't it.   Look at the beautiful blue sky.

The monument was started in 1927 and finished in 1941.

Hope you enjoyed seeing our fantastic granite sculpture monument.
