It's a Blizzard Here!

We had the BIG snowstorm Saturday (28.5 inches in Philadelphia) while we were still traveling home from Walt Disney World.  Yesterday hubby snow blowed the driveway but you would never know it as the snow continues to come down last night and today.  Everything, and I repeat, EVERYTHING, is closing down here in SE PA.  The county offices, the city offices, the malls, the airport for in-coming flights, the schools and scheduled activities.  It appears that our neighbors aren't going to work either.   Since hubby cleared the driveway we had at least 7 to 8 inches more (snow is so heavy and wet it is packing down) and they are predicting 8 to 10 inches additional.  It's great to not have to worry about getting to work - now that we are retired we can enjoy just watching the beauty of the snowfall.  It's becoming a blizzard and the winds are suppose to pick up this afternoon to around 30 MPH.  Enjoy our photos of the snowfall today.

Our deck and heated birdbath covered with snow...

Front yard - you can just see the indentation of where hubby cleared walkway yesterday to front door...

Snow plow coming down our street...

Snow plow continuing up our street...

Back yard deep in snow...

Front yard again - driveway filled in again with snow...poor hubby

Me with the snow falling hard...

Now they are saying this storm could cause power to fail due to the heaviness of the snow and the strong winds coming.  Keep your fingers crossed for us that we don't lose power.  Just heard on TV Bucks County (further north of us) has declared a state of emergency.

It is snowing where you are?
