Last day

Early tomorrow morning we will start the long drive home. We've had a great time here at Ft. Wilderness (Walt Disney World, FL) but I'm anxious to be home to get ready for Christmas.

Monday evening we went to the Magic Kingdom for the lighted evening parade and fireworks. It was the most crowded we have ever seen the park in the nine visits to Walt Disney World since we retired. We had sandwiches for supper in the bakery on Main Street and found a good spot to watch both the parade and fireworks. I picked my spot right next to a light pole so I could rest against it - save my back as much as I could. People were shoulder to shoulder all the way from the castle through Main Street. Poor Hubby had to stand the whole time waiting for the events to start. But it was worth it - the parade is fantastic and the fireworks against Cinderella's Castle is the best we've ever seen. They even had a light show against the castle between the events that was out of this world too.

I love watching Tinkerbell fly out of Cinderella's Castle!

Minnie & Me

Tonight we're going to the Hoop Dee Doo Review next to the Trail's End Restaurant at Ft. Wilderness. It's a kind of live western folksy dinner entertainment show.

We're relaxing at the campsite today. My bursitis in my hip flared up last night - don't know what causes it maybe all the walking and activity I did at Epcot on Wednesday. Who knows...I'm clueless with this condition.

We're into our last week here in Paradise. As much as I'm enjoying all things Disney I must admit I'm starting to think of home and what I have to do {{{still}}} to get ready for Christmas. At night I lay in bed with thoughts running through my head how I want to decorate the house for Christmas. I'm trying not to buy more Christmas decor because we have so much already...and then I see all the Christmas stuff in the Disney stores...and I. WANT. IT. ALL !!

Just before we left home I asked my Hubby to bend a coat hanger into a circle so I could string ornaments onto it for a bulb wreath. Then yesterday while blogging I saw this beautiful wreath that Sheila of "Note Song" blog made after being inspired by a wreath she saw on Pinterest. I love how she layered her bulb wreath on top of a green pine wreath with that beautiful red bow. Here's a pic of it. Do I have time to do something like this when I get home? I hope so.

Tony's at Magic Kingdom

We finally got a reservation for lunch today at Tony's, an Italian restaurant located at the entrance to the Magic Kingdom. Boy is this place popular.

I may have mentioned more than once that Lady & The Tramp is my favorite childhood Disney movie. We even named our childhood dog Lady.

We were lucky to get a booth in Tony's main dining room and I ran around the room taking pictures of all the Lady & The Tramp movie still photos lining the walls. There was an adorable statue of the famous couple sitting atop a water fountain smack dab in the center of the room. The reception area had a wide screen TV showing the movie too.

We split an order of cannelloni and it was very delicious. We wanted to make sure we had room to enjoy an All American Sundae from the Plaza Ice Cream Parlor later on.

The Magic Kingdom is my favorite Disney park. I feel like a kid again every time we visit.
