Cotton Candy Throw |
I named my newest crochet project...
{{ COTTON CANDY }}
Oh, remember when I said my first pink rows weren't lining up correctly for the "hills" and "valleys" (first blogged about here)?
I decided to do another practice piece to see how they should line up. After studying the 2nd practice piece I knew I wouldn't be happy continuing as it was...why do all that work when the stitches were wrong. So, I frogged back to the foundation chain and started over. I'm so glad I did because now the "hills" and "valleys" are align perfectly.
One thing I like about the wavy chevron is that it looks good on both sides of the throw. Lucy's pattern is so neat looking and I like that there isn't the spaces that a more steep zig zag would produce.
A Work In Progress |
It's dark and dreary here today...a perfect day to spend crocheting!
Have a lovely day and thanks for visiting me.
What a lovely blanket. It's worth frogging and starting again if it would have bothered you forever that the stitches weren't lined up right.
ReplyDeleteIt looks like cotton candy! I love it!
ReplyDeleteSandy sometimes I wonder what you do with all these throws but I imagine it's like my quilts I made they eventually find their way to the right place.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful cotton candy blanket! It smells like a perfume of tender childhood moments :)
ReplyDeleteThat is just delicious Sandy! lovely work.
ReplyDeleteThat's a blanket you just want to curl up with!
ReplyDeleteIt is so worth it to frog if needed. So good that you are so happy with "Cotton Candy." It is so yummy!!!
ReplyDeleteLovely Sandy. I love the colours you have chosen too. I would like to give this pattern a try when it is cooler but I find working on this foundation chain thing really difficult. Perhaps I should go for a small granny square throw first, I've done a couple of large ones now. I'm looking forward to the cooler weather so I can get back into learning to crochet.
ReplyDeleteCheers
Helen

You did the right thing by starting over. I crochet and I would not be happy if my work was not right. Your blanket is beautiful and well worth the extra effort.
ReplyDeleteSandy, Cotton Candy is the perfect name for your blanket...very yummy looking! I so want to make one of these ripples too. Yours is going to be gorgeous for sure. P.S. Thanks for your comment on my last post. Everyone has one of those dog stories!
