Although we have attended Ft. Wilderness' Hoop Dee Doo Musical Revue in the past, it had been a number of years so we decided to see the show again yesterday.
It's a fun, cutsy, folksy show that kids and adults like and my understanding is it hasn't changed much since it started decades ago.
The food was delicious. The server plops buckets down in front of you filled with salad, chicken and ribs. The way the dessert, Strawberry Shortcake, is served is hilarious!
A fun filled happy evening topped off running into a golf cart Christmas parade on our way back to our RV site.

She's A Beauty!
Hi Ya'll !
It's a beautiful day - warm and sunny and no humidity!
Today we swapped out our golf cart for a better one. Hubby is pleased - this one isn't so war weary as the last one.
It didn't take long to cut the plastic tie tags and remove the Christmas decorations. After lunch we re-applied the decorations to the new golf cart. She's a beauty but not the only beauty to show you. I couldn't resist showing off my crocheted throws on her...Waikiki Wildflowers, Jingle Bells and Candy Cane.
The other beauty to present to you is my Asian Jade Warming Collar. It's thisclose to being done but the last step will have to wait until I'm home that is unless Hubby takes me to a Joann Fabrics store to find a jewel of a button. Rather than the crocheted ties with the Pom Poms as the pattern instructs I'm thinking of a crocheted tab with a pretty button closure instead.
I did have to add a few more rows of double and triple crochet stitches to fit my neck size. I wish I had enough yarn to crochet a pair of matching fingerless mittens.
So there you have my two beauties today...a re-decorated Christmas golf cart and my Asian Jade Warming Collar.
Thanks for visit me!
I wanted to let you know I've been blogging while down here in Florida but without WiFi I'm limited to using my iPhone with it's 3G network. Luckily my Blogger app is working so I can post but as you can see I can't insert photos where I would like to - the Blogger app puts them all at the end of the post. I would like to post larger photos but just to make sure my posts publish I've limited the size. The other problem I noticed, which just started about a week ago, is that none of my comments on your blogs, that I type in via my iPhone, will publish anymore. I type in a comment and hit publish and my comment disappears. It's very frustrating to say the least. So I'm sorry I can't leave comments but it isn't because I'm not visiting you!
So long!

It's Beginning to Look Like Christmas
We were without "wheels" the last three days so we were happy when today arrived and we could rent a golf cart through the rest of our vacation.
Originally we were going to stay at a resort the last three days because Ft. Wilderness was filled up when we booked our reservations by phone. LuckiIy when we first arrived here we were able to bridge the three day gap to stay at the campground but couldn't get a golf cart for those three days.
The good news was we could keep the same site but we still had to registered again twice - the second time yesterday and again this morning. That's done now.
We got our rental golf cart this afternoon and we decorated it with red and green garland along the sides and put a wreath with a pretty red and green bow on the back and another bow on the front of the cart.
Yesterday after we drove the van over to the campground office to re-register we went outside the Disney property and had breakfast a Mimi's Cafe.
On the way back to WDW we stopped at a Wal-Mart to buy some cheap throw away Christmas decorations for the golf cart. While shopping Hubby said it seemed awfully busy. Then he said "No wonder it's busy - it's Black Friday!" I laughed because I didn't even realize what day it was. We have never, and I mean NEVER, shopped on Black Friday!
Hubby asked me what I was going to use to hang the decorations on the golf cart and I said "Duct tape or Scotch tape?" Well, that would have been a mess particularly if we have to change golf carts (and we may have to because the one we got doesn't have a back up mirror). Anyways while in Wal-Mart Hubby picked up plastic tie tags - works so much better than my idea of duct tape. LOL !
And take a look at our van side mirrors - I found cheap, cheap (98 cents) felt Santa hats to hang there.
If I can't decorate my home yet for Christmas then by golly I'll decorate our van and golf cart.
The Christmas season has begun!

Yum, Yum...We Had Turkey!
We drove over to Disney's Coronado Springs Resort yesterday to have our Thanksgiving supper at their Maya Grill. We had never eaten there and thought we might have to have Mexican food. But we were pleasantly surprised they had a special Thanksgiving meal for us to try instead. The meal was excellent.
Hope you all had a most wonderful Thanksgiving. We sure did here at Ft. Wilderness (Walt Disney World, FL) !
P.S. I crocheted a little dishcloth in Christmas red and lime green today too.

Our teeny tiny bathroom
Good afternoon!
The good news - my head cold is a little better this morning. I slept through the night until about 6 AM then I had a two-hour coughing attack - that wasn't very much fun. Poor Hubby i hope it didn't keep him awake.
Of course just as I'm starting to feel a little bit better with my head cold I had a muscle spasm in my side and if you've ever had one you know that they become more sore and painful as time goes by. Thank goodness we travel with a heating pad!
I have to show you our cute, little, teeny, tiny bathroom in our travel van. It functions very well and even has a shower. It's called a "wet bath" because the whole little room becomes the shower. And, yes, we have used it!
However, if the campground has decent showers, we will use those and Ft. Wilderness has great bathhouses.
It's a cooler day here at Walt Disney World. I think I need to get out - so Hubby and I are leaving to take a ride around the campground in our rented golf cart.
Have a wonderful weekend!

Ft. Wilderness Walt Disney World

Our campsite at Ft. Wilderness, Walt Disney World, Florida.
Hi!
Have you missed me?
We're in the Florida Keys and this is the first time we have had any internet service while on vacation. Walt Disney World has internet, expensive internet, at $9.95 per day. We tried it while at the campground and again while staying at a cabin but the service was so poor Disney credited the charges back to us. We were told that they were installing WiFi and that it should be available by the holidays.
The internet service is excellent at this campground down in the Keys. We have a waterfront site here and as I'm sitting in our van I can look out at the Gulf of Mexico and palm trees! The last two days we camped at the Bahia Honda State Park (only electric service there) and had a blast snorkeling in their beautiful waters.

My "Mickey Mouse" made out of pine cones!
Ft. Wilderness Campground is fun to stay at while visiting Walt Disney World.
We rent a golf cart so we have "wheels" to get around the campground loops and down to the marina for the ferry to the parks...it is fun during Halloween to drive around looking at all the RVs and their decorations. Even golf carts are decorated for the holiday.
Lots of the campers decorate for Halloween and it's a big deal at the parks too.
And some go way out there with tons of decorations.

Toy Story Midway Mania! attraction at Hollywood Studios
This is my favorite attraction...love to play it! It's a 3-D action game with all the Toy Story characters.

Me...waiting to play my favorite game!
The day we went to Hollywood Studios it was packed and we only got to play "Toy Story Midway Mania" once.

It was overcast our first few days at WDW. But all in all we have had great weather.
We spent just over two weeks at WDW. We were able to rest between visiting the parks and had time to do some fun stuff at the campground...like canoeing one day and then taking a 17' Boston Whaler out on the lake another day and even each of us taking out the small Sea Racers another day.
I probably won't be able to post again until we're back home in the middle of November.
Tomorrow we head north to Stuart, Florida to visit my cousin and then on to Atlanta, GA to visit college friends before heading home to Philly.
And, unfortunately, to answer - Kate - The Garden Bell - I haven't been able to "pin" while on vacation.
Maybe I can do some pinning tonight...starting tomorrow no internet again until home.
Thanks for visiting me while I've been on vacation!
I'm not looking forward to cooler weather at home!
