Galloping to 50 Plus...
I love this horse drawing! This magnificent drawing was hanging in Hubbard Museum of the America West in New Mexico and I couldn't resist taking a photo of it while on our RV trip to NM/AZ last year. I have always loved horses and enjoy drawing them myself but my drawings do not compare to a real artist like the one that drew this. I thought this photo is a perfect one to use for this post - my 51st! I can't believe I have published over 50 posts.
It's a good day to stay indoors today. It's very windy here (with gusts up to 40 MPH), cold...burr...26 degrees F. Of course it is nice and cosy in our home. I wanted to let you "hookers" know I took some new photos of my crocheting and hope to post them soon.
Happy Posting to all of you!
Update: I discovered I took a photo of the legend for this drawing - it is very interesting and tells about the horse the drawing was based upon and the artist.

Mother Dove & Baby
While visiting my cousin in AZ last year we noticed a Dove in a nest on her patio. The Dove didn't seem to mind us at all. My cousin said that the Dove was flying around the patio in distress apparently looking for a place to make a nest. When the Dove couldn't seem to make up its mind my cousin said she built the nest for her. After returning home from our trip I asked my cousin if the Dove ever had any babies and she sent photos of the two babies. Here is one of the babies - I had never seen a baby Dove before - isn't it cute!
Here's both babies!

Happy 2010!
And Happy New Year 2010 to you too!
Isn't this the cutest photo? My cousin sent this to me I think it is a wet baby ground squirrel. I've lost the email description that went with the photo. Perhaps this is how some of you feel this morning after celebrating New Year's Eve. The strongest drink we had last night was eggnog.
We turned to TV last night to see New York and Philadelphia celebrating at midnight. We couldn't believe the crowd at Times Square. It was good to see Dick Clark again but he's had it tough with his health the last couple of years. I think in my mind I always see that young Dick Clark hosting American Bandstand from Philly. Did any of you watch that back in the 50s? I would come home from school and watch the Mickey Mouse Club and American Bandstand every day. My hubby and I can still sing the Mickey Mouse Club song!
Here's lots of wishes to all of you for a happy and healthy 2010!
